Stakeholder Forums
York Region believes that early and ongoing involvement of the key project stakeholders is necessary to ensure that the Project Team recognizes issues that may potentially affect the successful outcome of the project. To achieve this goal, two project advisory committees will be formed and regularly meet at the project milestones during the West Vaughan Sewage Servicing EA.
The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) will provide a forum for focused discussion of project issues with a group of local resident associations, businesses, and community leaders who can provide input for improved decision-making and enhanced consultation with the communities affected by the West Vaughan Sewage Servicing Class EA. The SAC will help to identify public and stakeholder opportunities and concerns and assess the possible public response and feedback to project issues.
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will provide a forum for regulatory authorities, government and review agencies to provide feedback and guidance to the Project Team during the West Vaughan Sewage Servicing EA. The purpose of the TAC is to ensure that the regulatory authorities, government and review agencies are effectively engaged in development of the sustainable West Vaughan Sewage Servicing solution.
