Servicing Tomorrow's Communities

In 2009, The Regional Municipality of York completed the Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update (November 2009). This study identified the need to provide additional servicing capacity for the West Vaughan area to meet the future population growth servicing demands to the year 2051.

Development in the form of intensification (more homes and people in an existing footprint) or new construction in approved areas in West Vaughan area is mandated by the Ontario Places To Grow Act and restricted or constrained by the Greenbelt Act.
